3387 - Net Working Capital Analyst, EMEA
Role Summary and Impact
About the team and/or client
This is a role in the finance team of GroupM EMEA reporting to the GroupM EMEA NWC Manager. The role will work closely with the GroupM Reporting team, GroupM FP&A team, Agencies Commercial teams, and GroupM EMEA Trading Teams.
The Role Objective
The objective of this role is to provide high-quality Net Working Capital reporting and analysis across GroupM EMEA. The role will work with the EMEA NWC Manager to prepare monthly and quarterly reporting, monitor market actions, analyse aged balances, and provide clear insight to support working capital performance, risk management and cash discipline.
The role will work closely with finance and commercial teams to understand operational activity, support accurate reporting, challenge data where appropriate and help drive timely follow-up on key working capital issues.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities are:
- Maintain and enhance EMEA NWC reporting, trackers and action plans, ensuring updates are accurate, complete and delivered to agreed timelines.
- Support monthly market reviews by preparing analysis, capturing actions, tracking progress and escalating material issues to the EMEA NWC Manager.
- Prepare monthly EMEA and market-level NWC reporting packs, providing commentary on key movements, cash impact, risks, opportunities and required follow-up actions.
- Monitor MODA commentary completion in line with REG14.1, reviewing submissions for completeness, consistency and quality of explanations.
- Analyse aged debtor, accrued revenue and unbilled media balances to identify credit risk, billing delays, provisioning risk and priority areas for market follow-up.
- Contribute to quarterly NWC balance sheet and provision reviews by analysing account movements, trends, client allocations and items requiring management attention.
- Maintain and improve dashboards, trend files and analysis templates to support reporting, performance monitoring and decision-making.
- Support process improvement and working capital awareness across finance and commercial teams by helping improve reporting quality, follow-up discipline and understanding of key NWC drivers.

Skills and Experience
Essential
- Part-qualified accountant, qualified by experience, or working towards a recognised finance qualification such as CIMA, ACA or ACCA.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, investigate variances and explain key movements clearly.
- Relevant experience in finance, working capital, credit control, commercial finance, media agency or shared services environment.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFS, data cleansing, reconciliations, variance analysis and working with large financial data sets; Power Query experience would be advantageous.
- Confident user of PowerPoint with the ability to prepare clear, concise reporting packs for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience using Power BI, SAP BFC/Cartesis or similar financial reporting systems or dashboard tools would be advantageous.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with market finance teams, regional stakeholders and non-finance colleagues.

- Collaborative working style, with a desire to build relationships across regional and market finance teams.
- Continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in improving reporting quality, process discipline and working capital awareness.
