What we are looking for

A Senior Consultant with strong experience in climate risk, transition planning and decarbonisation, who can partner with clients to develop practical, commercially smart Climate Transition Plans, deliver Climate Risk & Resilience support and build decarbonisation pathways to net zero emissions.

About us

Here at Seismic we have a two-part vision: to help 10 million people join the shift by 2030 and to be the best place we have ever worked.

We know that’s an ambitious vision. That means challenging ourselves and our clients every day, striving for growth, and delivering real impact. You can see more about our mission in our CEO’s TEDx talk, “The purpose of profit: the business of securing a sustainable future.”

We foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support, ensuring every changemaker feels empowered to grow and contribute their best.

We are not just talking about change; we are actively driving it. We ourselves are a B Corp and our team of B Corp, Net Zero, Reporting and Sustainability Comms experts collaborate to deliver measurable impact for clients ranging from innovative SMEs to global corporations. You can read some of their stories here.

We’re a close-knit team, working together towards a shared vision. All that’s missing is you!

The role and its responsibilities

We’re looking for a Senior Climate Transition & Risk Consultant who thrives on solving complex sustainability challenges and combines technical expertise with commercial insight to deliver meaningful climate impact for our clients.

The exact role definition will be dependent on the desire, capability and experiences of the right person. Key responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Supporting the strategy, growth and delivery of our Carbon and Strategy Services, including but not limited to, Climate Risk (Qualitative and Quantitative Climate Scenario Analysis and Adaptation), Transition Planning, Scope 1-3 Carbon Footprints, CDP, Net Zero Pathways and SBT. Experience of FLAG emissions calculation and carbon footprint verification would be advantageous.
  • Proven track record leading the delivery and overall project management of core climate and carbon services like climate risk, transition planning and Scope 1 - 3 Carbon Footprinting.
  • Proactively identifying prospective client leads, then designing and selling projects with our Impact Development team, to help our clients utilise our expertise to achieve their sustainability goals.
  • Delivering a high quality service, within budget, that enables long term impact.
  • Identifying needs that the clients may not recognise and ensuring approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs.
  • Leading process improvement and optimisation within the Carbon and Strategy Services and the wider teams.
  • Building strong and lasting relationships with colleagues, clients and our wider community.
  • Representing Seismic at industry events.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About you

You believe that humanity and businesses need to make a seismic shift in the right direction and want to apply your consulting and analytical capabilities to help make that happen. At the same time you want to work in a friendly, collaborative and empathetic team who are delivering impactful projects for high-profile clients. You will especially enjoy working at Seismic if you have a growth mindset and are comfortable with uncertainty, as we are a fast-growing, agile and evolving business.

To be successful in this role you would need the following attributes:

  • Successful track record of contributing to the growth and development of a Consulting delivery team in a sustainability services business.
  • Proven track record of securing new business from existing and new clients in a strategic way that adds genuine value and impact. You enjoy building relationships across the company and with clients and are commercially aware.
  • Detail oriented but not at the expense of making pragmatic decisions.
  • Very confident processing and transforming data and genuinely enjoys analysis.
  • Proficient using advanced data analysis functions within MS excel and Google Sheets. Data analysis skills using other systems (e.g. Python and PowerBI) are preferable not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Climate Risk, Transition Planning and preferably GHG protocol and SBT methodology.
  • Extensive experience leading Scope 1-3, Net Zero, and Climate Risk projects.
  • Strong self-awareness and can easily adapt to different clients, from energetic SMEs to complex large corporates.
  • Confident and competent consulting skills, including building client relationships, project management, report writing, presenting, and ultimately enabling client success.
  • You enjoy building relationships across the company and with clients
  • A clear and concise written and in-person communication style.

Importantly, you love client work and also working with teammates to iterate products and services. You are a team player - you like a laugh, but are not afraid to graft. You are a student of sustainability, have plenty to offer, and know you have even more to learn.

You are proactive, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy juggling multiple projects and priorities and enjoy just the right amount of time pressure to help keep productive and focused. You are a ‘people person’ with a knack for building relationships.
