Ready to inspire the next generation of netball talent?
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oaklands College for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Netball Coach to support the delivery and ongoing success of our Netball Academy. Working closely with the Lead Netball Coach, you will help develop student-athletes, support competitive performance, and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing sporting environment.
Your Day-to-Day Impact
As an Assistant Netball Coach, you will support the planning and delivery of coaching sessions, helping athletes develop through technical coaching, performance feedback, and individual development plans. You will assist with matchday operations, including fixtures, warm-ups, equipment management, athlete supervision, and post-match reviews, while independently leading activities when required.
You will play an important role in creating a safe and inclusive environment, monitoring athlete welfare, promoting positive behaviours, and ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are upheld at all times.
The role will also involve supporting academy recruitment and talent identification activities, including trials, camps, community engagement events, and recruitment campaigns. Working with the College's marketing team, you will help promote the Academy through open evenings, social media content, and athlete success stories.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
