NetSuite Finance Functional Consultant (AI & Optimisation)
Location: UK (Remote)
Contract: 3 month initial contract - Client ideally will look to retain Contractor with an ongoing "Support Contract" to continue with further work

The Opportunity
We're supporting an ambitious and fast-growing client as they move beyond their successful NetSuite SuiteSuccess implementation and into the next phase of their transformation journey. This is not a traditional NetSuite support role.
We're looking for a NetSuite Finance Functional Consultant who can lead post-implementation optimisation projects, improve finance processes, and help shape an innovative AI strategy that integrates large language models such as ChatGPT, Claude, and emerging AI technologies into everyday finance operations.
You'll work closely with finance, technology, and operational stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, insight generation, workflow enhancement, and AI-driven decision support, while ensuring robust governance, compliance, and human oversight.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead NetSuite post-SuiteSuccess optimisation initiatives across Finance, Reporting, FP&A, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash and Record-to-Report processes.
- Conduct process reviews and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls and reporting.
- Design and deliver NetSuite enhancements, workflows, saved searches, dashboards and process improvements.
- Partner with finance leadership to create an AI roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Evaluate and implement integrations between NetSuite and AI platforms including ChatGPT, Claude and other LLM technologies.
- Design prompt-driven workflows that enable finance teams to generate insights, analyse exceptions, automate reporting and streamline decision-making.
- Establish governance frameworks for AI usage, including approval processes, auditability, human review layers, security controls and data handling policies.
- Define guardrails and oversight mechanisms to ensure AI-generated outputs remain accurate, compliant and trustworthy.
- Work alongside integration partners, developers and data teams to deploy scalable solutions.
- Train and support business users in adopting new AI-enabled processes.

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Strong NetSuite Functional Consulting experience with a specific focus on Finance.
- Proven experience supporting organisations after a SuiteSuccess implementation.
- Deep understanding of core finance processes and controls.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating them into practical NetSuite solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, from Finance Managers through to CFO level.
- Strong understanding of reporting, business process optimisation and digital transformation programmes.

Highly Desirable
- Experience deploying AI solutions within finance or ERP environments.
- Exposure to ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot or other enterprise AI platforms.
- Understanding of prompt engineering and AI workflow design.
- Experience creating governance, risk and compliance frameworks for AI adoption.
- Familiarity with API integrations and data flows between NetSuite and external platforms.
- Knowledge of financial controls, audit requirements and data security principles.
