Job Title
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a NetSuite Systems Engineer -Czechia (contract) based in United Kingdom.
This is a high-ownership financial systems engineering role focused on modernizing and scaling core finance technology.
You will own NetSuite and support the rollout of additional financial platforms while treating them as engineering systems rather than administrative tools.
The role combines ERP expertise, finance and accounting knowledge, automation, integrations, and modern AI-enabled workflows.
You will work directly with Finance and Accounting teams to turn operational needs into scalable system capabilities.
A major focus will be eliminating repetitive and error-prone processes through thoughtful automation and well-designed integrations.
You will also partner closely with engineering to establish reliable, observable, version-controlled connections between financial systems.
The role offers significant autonomy to shape how financial operations work as the organization continues to scale globally.
Accountabilities
- Own and administer core financial systems, including NetSuite and the upcoming FloQast environment, covering configuration, business logic, user access, workflows, and day-to-day system health.
- Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone finance processes across areas such as month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and procure-to-pay, and design practical automation solutions to reduce or eliminate them.
- Determine the most effective place for business logic and automation, distinguishing between system configuration, cross-system integrations, and the appropriate source of truth for financial data.
- Serve as the finance domain expert for business logic and data definitions, partnering with engineering to establish and maintain reliable system rules and canonical data structures.
- Build and maintain cross-system integrations through a centralized, version-controlled, and observable integration environment rather than relying on isolated scripts embedded within individual applications.
- Act as the dedicated systems partner for Finance and Accounting, translating business requirements into system capabilities and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- Own the technical side of financial-vendor onboarding, configuration, administration, and ongoing system relationships.
- Use modern AI coding and automation tools to accelerate routine system work, improve productivity, and increase the scalability of financial operations.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve system reliability, data quality, operational efficiency, and the overall experience for finance users.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Experience managing the NetSuite integration ecosystem and working with integrations to other systems or CRM platforms.

- Demonstrated ability to eliminate repetitive manual work through scripting, saved searches, workflow automation, low-code tools, iPaaS platforms, or similar approaches.
- Strong judgment around system architecture, particularly when deciding whether logic belongs within configuration, a cross-system integration, or another system of record.
