Reports to: Head of Infrastructure
Location: UK London or Erlanger US or New York US, Flexible Working 3 days in office.
Occasional international travel may be required to support office moves, network deployments, installations, project delivery and supplier coordination.
Role Purpose
The Network Administrator is responsible for the administration, support and maintenance of Centellic's global network infrastructure. Based in one of our global offices and reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, the role supports Azure networking, Cisco Meraki, SD-WAN, office connectivity, WAN/LAN, Wi-Fi, remote access and network authentication.
The role helps maintain availability, security, performance and resilience across the office and cloud estate by resolving incidents, completing assigned changes, maintaining documentation and working with Infrastructure, Information Security, Service Delivery and suppliers.
The role will also support agreed standards, lifecycle activities and practical improvements that help simplify and improve network services across the group.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations and Administration
- Administer and support LAN, WAN, wireless, internet, firewall, VPN and SD-WAN services.
- Monitor availability, performance and security, responding to alerts and recurring issues.
- Maintain Cisco Meraki firewall, switching, wireless and SD-WAN configurations.
- Maintain accurate IP addressing, subnet, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, circuit and device records.
- Support agreed network standards, lifecycle activities and basic service improvements.
Azure and Hybrid Connectivity
- Support Azure networking components, including virtual networks, subnets, routing, security controls and VPN connectivity.
- Troubleshoot connectivity between Azure-hosted services, corporate offices, third-party services and remote users.
- Work with infrastructure and cloud teams to maintain secure, supportable hybrid-network services.
Meraki SD-WAN, Internet and Office Connectivity
- Support the Meraki SD-WAN estate, including connectivity, failover and traffic policies.
- Manage office internet services and circuits, working with carriers and suppliers on incidents, changes and upgrades.
- Support network activities for office moves, deployments, site surveys, installations and supplier coordination.
Wireless, LAN and Network Access Control
- Administer corporate and guest Wi-Fi, wireless security, RF settings and access policies across Centellic offices.
- Support 802.1X authentication for wired and wireless access, including Entra ID, certificates, NPS and RADIUS.
- Maintain approved segmentation for corporate, guest, infrastructure, voice, AV, building and third-party networks.
Remote Access and VPN
- Administer Always On VPN and associated authentication, certificate, routing and access-control dependencies.
- Support site-to-site and third-party IPsec VPN connections, ensuring secure configuration and documented ownership.
Incident, Problem and Change Management
- Provide network support for escalated incidents.
- Support diagnosis and restoration for network incidents, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
- Document findings and remediation actions for material or recurring incidents.
- Implement approved network changes with appropriate testing, rollback and communication.

Security, Governance and Compliance
- Apply approved security standards to network configurations, firewall rules, administrative access and remote connectivity.
- Work with InfoSec to remediate vulnerabilities, support investigations and provide audit evidence.
- Maintain configuration backups, support firmware lifecycle management and identify unsupported network technology.
Documentation, Projects and Supplier Coordination
- Maintain network diagrams, standards, configuration records, support procedures, asset information and runbooks.
- Support assigned network tasks for refreshes, office moves, connectivity, integrations and service transitions.
- Coordinate with carriers, managed service providers and vendors on incidents, changes and service requests.
- Identify practical opportunities to simplify or standardise network services, configurations and support processes.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Experience
- Hands-on experience supporting networks across multi-site or hybrid-working environments.
- Practical experience with Cisco Meraki firewalls, switching, wireless or SD-WAN.
- Experience supporting Azure networking, hybrid connectivity, WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, circuits, DNS, DHCP and VPN technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting 802.1X, RADIUS, certificate-based authentication and network access issues.
- Experience handling incidents, completing controlled changes and maintaining technical documentation.
Technical Knowledge
- Cisco Meraki Dashboard, MX security appliances, MS switches, MR access points, and SD-WAN.
- Cisco switching, routing, spanning tree, VLANs, ACLs and IPsec fundamentals.
- Azure virtual networks, subnets, routing, VPN gateways, private connectivity and network monitoring.
- Microsoft Entra ID, NPS, RADIUS, PKI/certificates, 802.1X and Always On VPN.
- Network monitoring, packet capture, log analysis, performance troubleshooting & config backup.
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting office moves, new-site deployments, site surveys, network installations, circuit procurement and supplier coordination.
- Exposure to Zscaler, Zero Trust network access or Microsoft Global Secure Access.
- Experience using automation or scripting to improve network administration and reporting.
Personal Capabilities
- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to complex incidents.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Organised and disciplined, with strong attention to change control and documentation.
- Service-oriented, pragmatic & calm with critical incidents or time-sensitive office changes.
Preferred Certifications
- CCNA, Cisco Meraki accreditation or equivalent practical experience.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Network Engineer Associate.
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent service-management knowledge.
