Job Description
About the Role
Are you passionate about using data, analysis and problem-solving to make a real impact? Do you enjoy turning complex information into practical solutions that improve performance and efficiency? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for a Network Performance Analyst to join our team and play a key role in supporting the performance of our water network. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of operations, using technical expertise, hydraulic modelling and data analysis to help shape decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
As a Network Performance Analyst, you'll monitor, analyse and simulate network performance to support planning, design and reporting activities across the business. Working closely with operational, maintenance and strategic teams, you'll use data and hydraulic modelling tools to identify opportunities, investigate network issues and develop solutions that enhance network performance.
You'll carry out detailed hydraulic studies and network investigations, combining telemetry information, logger data and field observations to produce clear, insightful recommendations. Your expertise will help guide both proactive and reactive decision-making, supporting areas such as leakage reduction, customer service, operational efficiency and network resilience.
You'll work collaboratively with Network Technicians and operational colleagues to gather and interpret data, ensuring findings are presented in a clear and auditable format. Alongside providing technical advice and ad hoc support, you'll contribute to key performance measures including leakage, interruptions to supply, water quality issues such as discolouration, taste and odour, and overall network performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
