Network Architect - AWS, Cloud Networking, Market Data, Banking

Up to £850 per day (Inside IR35 - Umbrella)

Location: London / Hybrid (2-3 days per week on-site)

Contract Duration: 12 Month initial Contract

About the Role

My client is a leading international Banking organisation who urgently require Network Architect / Network Engineering Lead with proven Banking / Financial Services industry experience, Market Data and AWS, Cloud Networking expertise to join a major infrastructure consolidation programme.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Network Architect / Network Engineering Lead
  • Strong working knowledge of Hosting Architecture and Enterprise networking
  • Experience of designing and supporting Hosting environments across Datacentres, Cloud, and internet-facing platforms
  • Strong understanding of AWS (including end-to-end technical topology of AWS)
  • Demonstrable capability in Network Routing
  • Proven experience of Cloud Networking including Network Configuration
  • Ability to demonstrate Design scenarios using industry best practices
  • Strong understanding of BGP, multicast, low-latency networking and high-availability architectures
  • Experience supporting Market Data platforms (Bloomberg / Reuters / Exchange Connectivity), Trading infrastructure, or real-time data distribution environments
  • Hands-on experience with network automation technologies such as Python, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, or API-driven platforms
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and business teams
  • Flexible approach towards hybrid working

  • Previous working experience of Multi-Cloud environments AWS, Azure, GCP, and/or Oracle Cloud networking
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 connectivity, SaaS integrations, and hybrid networking
  • Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure consolidation, cloud migration, or data centre transformation programmes
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking environments and enterprise security platforms
  • Working knowledge of network security architecture, segmentation, and Zero Trust principles
