Network Connectivity Architect

Chelsea, London
6 Months Rolling Contract
Up to £800 Per Day via Umbrella

We are looking for a Connectivity Architect to join our client on a contract basis. Our client is a leader in converged broadband, video and mobile communications and an active investor in cutting-edge infrastructure.

Your Role:

  • Consult central and local market commercial, product and technical teams to understand objectives, constraints, and market needs, and use this input to define the CPE strategy and RFx approach.
  • Review the latest wireless, connectivity, and regulatory standards, together with supplier roadmaps and market developments, to define the appropriate CPE hardware architecture, features, and performance requirements.
  • Lead the technical workstream for the next-generation CPE RFI and RFP, from market review through to supplier recommendation.
  • Embed relevant standards, security, privacy, resilience, scalability, and regional regulatory requirements into the specifications.
  • Communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders and provide technical direction.

Who we're looking for:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in electronic/electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related STEM discipline.
  • Proven experience as a CPE architect or technical/engineering platform lead within a telecoms operator, OEM, or silicon vendor, including authoring specifications and leading technical RFx activity.
  • Prior knowledge of Wi-Fi 6/7/8, radio and antenna design, with a broad understanding of Ethernet, DOCSIS, XGS-PON, Thread, Bluetooth, Zigbee, TR-069, and USP/TR-369.
  • Track record of delivering connected consumer devices and technology roadmaps; familiarity with cloud services, mobile apps, Agile delivery, regulation, privacy, and security is desirable.
  • Clear analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex technical evidence into pragmatic recommendations for technical and senior business audiences.
