Network Architect, Home-based with client travel

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Network Architect to join Roc’s Professional Services division. This role will be responsible for delivering high- and low-level network designs, driving architectural best practice, and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience designing and deploying Juniper-based networking solutions across campus environments, including integration with NAC and DDI platforms, perimeter security technologies, automation services, and monitoring/management toolsets.

Working closely with Professional Services, Operations, and Pre-Sales teams, the Network Architect will play a key role in ensuring successful project delivery, smooth operational handover, and technical excellence across networking engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise network solutions
  • Produce high and low-level designs aligned with customer requirements
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders from engineers to C-level
  • Support pre-sales and bid activity including tenders and solution design
  • Collaborate with Programme Managers, Project Managers, Service Managers, Operational teams, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Lead technical workshops and customer discussions, presenting designs, test plans, and implementation strategies.
  • Proactively identify and communicate risks, issues, and dependencies that could impact project delivery

  • Proven experience designing and implementing Juniper networking transformations, including wireless and LAN solutions.
  • Experience leading technical delivery across multi-vendor campus networking environments
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Full project lifecycle experience

Technical Expertise

  • Enterprise Campus LAN and routing
  • Large-scale wireless networking
  • Authentication and NAC solutions
  • Multi-vendor environments (Juniper/HPE desirable)
  • DNS, DHCP and core networking protocols

Desirable Skills

  • Juniper/MIST certifications or equivalent
  • Firewall/security experience (Fortinet, Checkpoint)
  • DDI solutions (e.g. Infoblox)
  • Pre-sales or consultancy experience
