Network Automation Engineer — IP Fabric, Ansible & Nautobot, £60,000–£75,000, fully remote
£60,000–£75,000 | Fully Remote | UK Wide
Our client is a specialist network consultancy with a growing automation practice. They're looking for a Network Automation Engineer to join the team — someone who can build, maintain, and operationalise network automation workflows across enterprise customer environments.
IP Fabric, Ansible, Nautobot, Jinja, and Python are the core stack. If you've been building network automation for real — source of truth, intent-based networking, and operationalising it at scale — this is the role.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Design and build network automation workflows using Ansible, Nautobot, and Jinja templating
- Implement and maintain IP Fabric as a network source of truth and visibility platform
- Develop Python scripts to automate network operations, configuration, and validation
- Work with customers to operationalise network automation — moving from manual processes to scalable, repeatable workflows
- Maintain and evolve the source of truth — ensuring network inventory and state data is accurate and trusted
- Contribute to automation ops — monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement of automated workflows

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
