The Role: Network Automation Engineer – Arista Fabric (AVD/EVPN)
Location: Remote, UK
Position Type: Contract Inside IR35

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy production-level Arista VXLAN BGP EVPN fabrics using Arista's AVD (Ansible Validated Designs) framework.
- Map existing non-fabric network configurations to fabric-based configurations.
- Integrate Arista fabric solutions with other data center technologies (compute, storage, virtualization, security, etc.).
- Guide, train, and mentor networking team members (including Shuan and teammates) on AVD-based fabric configuration and design principles.
- Support and grow infrastructure-as-code practices across the network team, including CVaaS, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelining for network configuration management.
- Partner with EMEA and global network teams to deliver solutions while building internal capability.

Required Skills & Experience

- Deep, hands-on Arista expertise, with proven experience designing and deploying production Arista fabrics (not lab/POC only).
- Strong working knowledge of Arista AVD and how it constructs fabric configurations.
- Practical experience building and operating VXLAN BGP EVPN fabrics.
- Ability to translate legacy/non-fabric network configs into fabric-based configs.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code skill set, including:
- Arista AVD
- CloudVision as a Service (CVaaS)
- GitHub / version control
- CI/CD pipelining for network automation
- Ability to teach and mentor others — comfortable instructing and upskilling team members on fabric design and automation practices.
- Broad networking background with experience integrating Arista fabrics into a wider data center technology stack.
