Introduction

This role is all about owning the stability of network services, stepping in when things go wrong, tightening performance day-to-day, and making sure change is delivered cleanly with minimal risk.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking 2nd/3rd line ownership of escalated network incidents across LAN/WAN, firewalls and wireless
- Troubleshooting complex multi-vendor environments, driving root cause analysis and permanent fixes
- Managing and delivering routine and emergency changes (patching, firmware, config updates) with clear comms
- Proactively monitoring, tuning and health-checking networks to prevent issues before they hit customers
- Working closely with project/architecture teams to ensure smooth go-lives, service transition and continuous improvement

Main Skills Needed:
- Strong hands-on networking fundamentals (VLANs, STP, OSPF/BGP, QoS, redundancy)
- Firewall experience (Cisco / Meraki / WatchGuard) including VPNs, NAT, HA and troubleshooting
- Solid wireless knowledge (controller-based deployments, SSIDs, security, coverage/performance)
- Experience with monitoring/tooling such as PRTG, Nagios, Meraki Dashboard (or similar)
- Confident in incident/change processes, customer communication, documentation and vendor/ISP escalation
