Start With What Drives You.
At BMW Group, the best way to learn is by doing. From day one, you will be part of the team, trusted with real responsibility and encouraged to bring your own ideas. You will build practical experience, work with people across the business and contribute to projects shaping the future BMW and MINI retail experience.
BMW UK, National Sales Company, Farnborough - Network Development - Placement (July 2027)
Join our Network Development team and play a part in shaping the BMW and MINI customer experience across the UK. You will work alongside sixteen colleagues across Network Development and Network Performance, learning from experienced managers and specialists in network planning, contracts, facilities, Retail Standards, Retail.Next (Corporate Identity) and retailer projects. As part of the wider BMW UK Sales department, you will also gain a broader view of how teams across the business work together to support our retailer network and deliver for customers.
This is a varied placement where no two weeks will look exactly the same. You could be helping to create a retailer communication, reviewing information to spot an important trend, coordinating actions with a supplier or supporting a project that is bringing a new retail environment to life.
You will be trusted to take ownership of your work, ask questions and bring a fresh point of view. In return, you will gain practical skills, valuable connections and experience that will help you stand out when you return to university and begin your career.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
