About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with specialized skills in SONiC and advanced networking technologies to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting network environments based on SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud). This role involves working on multiple projects, often in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, BGP routing, and VPN technologies, contributing to the deployment and optimization of enterprise-grade network infrastructures.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical expertise and practical experience, including:
- Hands-on experience with SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud), preferably with Celestica SONiC or other enterprise/community distributions
- Strong understanding of advanced networking principles, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols
- Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
- Experience supporting Software VPN implementations
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Experience with Linux networking environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of EVPN/VXLAN, FRRouting (FRR), and white-box switching platforms is desirable
- Data centre networking experience is a plus
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Configuring and supporting SONiC-based networking environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Troubleshooting and optimizing Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure components
- Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting BGP routing protocols to support scalable network architectures
- Supporting and implementing Software VPN solutions to facilitate secure remote connectivity
- Diagnosing network issues swiftly and effectively, providing timely resolutions to maintain service continuity
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions aligned with project requirements
- Documenting network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and knowledge sharing
