About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join MAG's dynamic team. This pivotal role involves supporting and maintaining the airport’s LAN, WAN, and WiFi infrastructure within a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless connectivity across all airport facilities, supporting critical network services, and contributing to ongoing network projects. The role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, fault resolution, and configuration management, ensuring that MAG’s network systems remain robust, secure, and efficient. Experience with Cisco networking equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls, is required, along with familiarity with network management tools like Cisco DCNM and DNAC. Knowledge of corporate WiFi solutions, particularly Aruba, will be considered a distinct advantage. Additionally, experience with ITIL processes or change management procedures will be beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a willingness to participate in on-call duties, supporting 24/7 operations. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for highly experienced professionals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
