Network Engineer

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Network Engineer for a large, multi-site organisation undertaking significant investment in its technology and infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting, maintaining and improving secure, resilient and high-performing network services across both on-premises and cloud environments.

You will combine business-as-usual support with involvement in major infrastructure and transformation projects. This will include network upgrades, new site deployments, relocations, service improvements, and disaster recovery initiatives.

The position would suit an engineer who enjoys taking technical ownership, resolving complex connectivity issues, and contributing to the ongoing development of a modern network environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network infrastructure and services to maintain performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Build, configure, test, and deploy network hardware and services across WAN and LAN environments.
  • Maintain and support network security technologies, including Fortinet and Azure firewalls.
  • Diagnose complex network, connectivity, and performance issues, taking ownership through to resolution.
  • Support network upgrades, site rollouts, expansions, relocations, and disaster recovery projects.
  • Configure and support Cisco switching and routing technologies.
  • Manage and maintain Meraki networking environments, including security appliances, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Work with internal technology teams, business stakeholders, and third-party suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and follow established operational and security standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve network resilience, security, and operational performance.
  • Travel to other UK locations when required.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support rota.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
