ABOUT NEXGEN CLOUD
NexGen Cloud is a fast-growing GPU cloud and AI infrastructure business. We're the company behind Hyperstack — a self-serve, on-demand cloud platform built for high-performance AI, HPC, and compute-heavy workloads. Powered by 100% renewable energy and NVIDIA architecture, Hyperstack gives teams from AI startups to enterprise the compute they need, without the cost or complexity of legacy cloud.
We move fast, solve hard problems, and build things that matter. If you want ownership, real impact, and a front-row seat to one of the most consequential infrastructure shifts of the decade — this is the place.
THE ROLE: Network Engineer
We're deploying GPU infrastructure across multiple sites at increasing speed, and every deployment needs a complete network design from customer requirement through to physical build and handover. Right now that work sits with a small number of senior staff, which caps how many deployments can move at once — we need someone who can own that lifecycle end-to-end and run five or more of them at a time.
This is a role for someone who's comfortable owning a design from a customer's first requirement through to a validated handover, who can coordinate a build they're not physically present for, and who'd rather pick the right vendor for the problem than default to one stack.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Rather than a checklist, here's what success in this role actually looks like:
- Own network design end-to-end for GPU deployments, from customer requirements to handover
- Turn customer requirements — BGP, IP addressing, firewalls, connectivity — into buildable cable and rack plans
- Coordinate third-party deployment partners on physical build and validate their work remotely before sign-off
- Run five or more concurrent deployments at once, each on its own timeline
- Resolve network issues that surface post-deployment, through to full customer handover
- Pick the right vendor and technology for each deployment instead of forcing one stack everywhere
ABOUT YOU
We care more about how you think and work than a perfect CV. You'll likely bring a combination of the following:
Essential:
- Broad, multi-vendor network engineering experience, including Cisco — not single-vendor depth alone
- Has taken network projects from customer requirement through design, build coordination, and handover, with hands-on implementation experience
- Strong customer-facing technical communication — able to gather requirements and translate them into actionable designs
- Proven ability to run multiple concurrent deployments remotely, coordinating third-party build partners without being on site
