Senior Network Engineer – Global Sports & Media Networking
Location: Global (Hybrid/Rotational) Role: IMG – TKO Group Holdings, Inc.
About the Role
IMG, a subsidiary of TKO Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: TKO), is a leading global sports marketing agency specialising in media rights management, content production, brand partnerships, digital experiences, and event management. The Senior Network Engineer will support the design, deployment, and daily operations of TKO’s premier sporting brands, including UFC, WWE, PBR, and IMG, by managing world-class enterprise datacenters, cloud, and global WAN architectures.
Ensure mission-critical network reliability, security, and scalability across 210+ countries, supporting fantasy-sporting releases for 1 billion households and 500+ live events annually.
Key Responsibilities
Core Network Operations
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise network architectures, including:
- Enterprise routing, switching, and wireless solutions
- VPN/Firewall security policies (Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Umbrella)
- SD-WAN deployments and hybrid cloud integrations
- Datacenter and cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, Alma/Wyndham)
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, conduct capacity planning, and ensure 99.9%+ uptime.
- Initialize secure network segmentation and keep pace with Zero Trust principles.
Technical Accountability
- Lead global connectivity between datacenters, cloud environments, and 100+ offices.
- Monitor performance via Nagios, SolarWinds, Prism, and Gigamon tools.
- Document architecture design, CMDB entries, and runbooks for handoff to ops teams.
- Keep PoC benchmarks for performance baselining.
Proactive & Incident Response
- Support buildouts, datacenter migrations, and security hardening projects.
- Participate in Incident Response (IR) and Change Control scoring boards.
- Regular travel to global sites for network migrations, datacenter upgrades, and unresolved issues.

Technical Skills & Ability Matrix
Required Expertise
✔ Core Networking:
- Hands-on experience with Cisco switches/routers (Enterprise-level devices).
- In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, VPN, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Proficiency with SD-WAN platforms and hybrid cloud networking models.
✔ Enterprise Security:
- Palo Alto Networks firewall/VPN management, including threat prevention policies.
- Experience with security compliance frameworks (ISO27001, PCI-DSS, etc.).
✔ Monitoring & Automation:
- Operational familiarity with SolarWinds, Prism, LiveAction, or Nagios.
- Scripting for automation (Bash/Ansible). VMware ServiceNow preference.
✔ Cloud Networking:
- Configuring Azure/ AWS interconnected cloud networks (VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect).
✔ Collaborative Accountability:
- Works cross-team with infrastructure, security, and media ops.
- Structured approach to root cause analysis (RCA) after incidents to drive lasting solutions.
Preferred Certifications
🔥 Certifications: CNE, CCNP Enterprise, or CCNA Data Center. 🔥 Technologies: AWS Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer Associate. 🔥 Languages: Python or PowerShell for automating remediations.
Preferred Experience (Nice-to-Have)
✔ Commercial experience with large-scale cable/satellite network provisioning. ✔ Experience managing transport layer-powerful tunnels (IPSec, WireGuard). ✔ Familiarity with IPTV solutions for sports media streaming protocol infrastructures.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics/Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years in enterprise networking (datacenter, WAN/LAN clouds).
- Expertise with:
- CISCO platforms (ASDM/Prime) & Palo Alto Networks config deployments.
- Network hosting environments & routing/filtering technologies.
- IS-IS + MLDP (MPLS-Theoretic areas beyond point-to-point).
