Network Engineer – Cisco Viptela SD-WAN

Contract: 6 months
Rate: Up to £550 per day
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Working Arrangement: Hybrid 1/2 days a week on-site at most convenient of these locations: London / Manchester / Coventry

The Opportunity

This isn’t a contract where you’ll simply be keeping the lights on, it is in fact a nice blend. You’ll join a large organisation with a modern, cloud-first infrastructure environment, taking ownership of critical network services while helping deliver technical change and ongoing improvements. The work will give you exposure to enterprise Cisco networking, SD-WAN, Azure, network security and modern data centre technologies.

You’ll balance hands-on troubleshooting and operational support with project delivery, network improvements and automation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Deliver technical changes and contribute to network projects.
  • Work with architects, project managers and stakeholders to implement appropriate solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve resilience, security and efficiency.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and maintain technical documentation.
  • Contribute to developing network automation practices.

Skills and Experience
