About The Role
The role involves the delivery of critical national infrastructure projects utilizing market-leading tools to ensure security and availability are future-proofed. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects from the design stage through to implementation, taking full ownership of the solutions end-to-end. This includes project engineering activities such as low-level design, implementation services, and consultancy. The role requires providing expert-level support to clients, acting as an internal escalation point for support-related incidents, and troubleshooting complex network and security issues. Additionally, the candidate will mentor junior team members, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative environment. The role demands excellent communication skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project timelines effectively.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience in physical network design and build, including operational technology (OT) environments
- Proven background in a similar role or consulting capacity within enterprise or field-based settings
- CCNP Routing, Switching, and Security certifications
- Experience with Data Centre technologies such as Cisco Nexus, VXLAN, VPCs, and End User Compute
- Strong understanding of network security principles and related technologies
- Deep knowledge of Wide Area Networking (WAN) technologies and routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ISR and ASR routers, Cisco Secure Firewall/FTD, Cisco Wireless (WLCs), and Cisco ISE
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure and AWS
- Security clearance is desirable
- Offshore certification is desirable
- Experience with Cisco Meraki wireless, security, and switching technologies; Cisco ACI; HP and Aruba platforms is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of critical infrastructure projects, ensuring security and operational excellence
- Design and implement network solutions aligned with project requirements and industry best practices
- Provide expert troubleshooting and support for complex network and security incidents
- Act as a technical escalation point, supporting internal teams and clients effectively
- Mentor and develop team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative environment
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Maintain documentation of designs, configurations, and incident reports
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements
- Participate in planning and risk assessment activities for infrastructure projects
