Senior Network Engineer – Broadcast Network Migration

Department: Broadcast

Project: Management Network Migration & Network Refresh

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer / Network Design Engineer to join a major network migration and refresh programme within our Broadcast division.

The project involves migrating an existing management network away from our existing environment, while simultaneously delivering a refresh of the underlying network infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong Cisco and Juniper networking expertise, with the successful engineer taking ownership of key elements of the network design, migration planning, testing, and implementation.

You will be responsible for developing the technical approach to the migration, producing detailed design documentation, implementation runbooks and test plans, and helping ensure the network can be migrated with minimal disruption to existing broadcast services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the design and migration of the existing management network
  • Support the parallel refresh and modernisation of the network infrastructure
  • Design and configure BGP routing
  • Design and troubleshoot IPsec tunnels, GRE tunnels, and VPN connectivity
  • Work with management gateways/headends and associated management network connectivity
  • Design and validate ingress and egress network paths, ensuring appropriate inbound and outbound connectivity to management and production networks
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing between management gateways and the wider network
  • Develop and implement QoS policies
  • Design and implement solutions across Cisco and Juniper environments
  • Produce detailed Low-Level Designs (LLDs), migration plans, and implementation runbooks
  • Develop comprehensive network test plans and acceptance criteria
  • Perform pre- and post-migration testing and troubleshooting
  • Identify migration risks, dependencies, and potential service impacts
  • Work closely with engineering, architecture, operations, and broadcast teams throughout the migration lifecycle

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
