Network Engineer
Network Engineer with key skills in enterprise networking, Cisco routing & switching, NVIDIA Mellanox and modern data centre networking is sought by a high growth technology organisation based near Worcester.
Working within national infrastructure, this Network Engineer will join a close-knit technical team delivering secure, high-performance networking solutions across business-critical and highly secure environments.
On a day-to-day basis, this Network Engineer will work across high-performance routing and switching environments including Cisco Catalyst 9300 switching platforms, Cisco Firepower 2100 Series appliances running Firepower Threat Defence (FTD), alongside NVIDIA Mellanox Ethernet switches running Cumulus Linux.
This role would suit an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in enterprise networking who enjoys solving complex routing, switching, firewall and connectivity problems and is comfortable combining hands-on engineering with customer engagement.

Key Skills
This Network Engineer should have most of the following key skills:
- Strong enterprise networking experience across routing & switching
- Expert-level knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRRP/HSRP and Spanning Tree
- Strong understanding of QoS, Multicast, IPv4/IPv6 and High Availability networking
- Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Mellanox Ethernet switches running Cumulus Linux, ideally including MSN2100, MSN3420 or MSN2201
- Experience installing, configuring and supporting Cisco Catalyst 9300 switching platforms
- Experience configuring, administering and troubleshooting Cisco Firepower 2100 Series appliances running Firepower Threat Defence (FTD)
- Modern data centre networking experience including EVPN, VXLAN, MLAG and Leaf-Spine architectures
- Experience producing technical documentation, implementation plans, network diagrams and operational procedures
- Experience working within secure, business-critical or air-gapped network environments would be a real plus
- Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to take ownership of technical projects
- Infrastructure as Code using Ansible
