First Point Group is recruiting for Network Engineers with VMware NSX deployment & implementation experience to join a major infrastructure transformation programme with one of the UK's leading and most recognised brands.
We're looking for experienced deployment engineers with strong hands-on expertise in Cisco Routing & Switching, VMware NSX, and enterprise network implementations. This role is highly deployment-focused and would suit candidates who enjoy delivering large-scale infrastructure projects within enterprise environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a joint-project between 2 of the world's leading brands on a Data Centre network modernisation project.
- This is an outside IR35 contract (renewable) and remote-working (UK).

Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, implement and support enterprise IP network infrastructure.
- Configure and deploy Routing & Switching solutions using Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
- Implement VMware NSX, including Distributed Firewall (DFW) configurations.
- Support network deployments, migrations, cutovers and implementation activities.
- Troubleshoot complex LAN, Data Centre and virtualised network environments.
- Work closely with project and infrastructure teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Participate in technical discussions relating to DNS and SD-WAN technologies.
- Produce technical documentation and support post-deployment activities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in enterprise network deployment and implementation roles.
- Strong hands-on Routing & Switching experience using Cisco Catalyst and Nexus.
- Proven experience deploying and implementing VMware NSX, including Distributed Firewall (DFW).
- Strong troubleshooting skills across enterprise network environments.
- Experience supporting network migrations and implementation projects.
- Ability to work independently within customer-facing onsite environments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.

Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of DNS and SD-WAN technologies.
- Experience working within large enterprise or global infrastructure environments.
- Understanding of ITIL-based operational processes.
- Cisco or VMware certifications would be advantageous.
