Network Engineer

London | Contract (Inside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a major office relocation, data centre migration, and network transformation programme. This includes the deployment of a new FX trading platform, migration of critical network infrastructure, and the relocation of services across multiple sites and data centres.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the migration and implementation of Arista, Aruba, and Cisco networking technologies, alongside Layer 2 and Layer 3 telecoms migrations. You will work closely with third-party telecom providers to migrate existing circuits and services while ensuring minimal disruption to business-critical operations.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical expertise across both physical infrastructure and logical network migrations. The position will involve working within fast-paced, highly available environments and will require occasional out-of-hours support for cutovers, implementation windows, and post-migration validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, implementation, and execution of office relocation and data centre migration activities.
  • Deploy and migrate network infrastructure using Arista, Aruba, and Cisco technologies.
  • Perform Layer 2 and Layer 3 network migrations, ensuring service continuity and network stability.
  • Coordinate with telecom providers to migrate WAN circuits, carrier services, and existing connectivity.
  • Execute network cutovers, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Install, patch, and manage physical network infrastructure, including copper and fibre cabling.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, migration runbooks, and implementation plans.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, telecoms, and business stakeholders across multiple locations.
  • Provide out-of-hours support during critical migration and implementation phases.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
