About the Role
Are you a network engineer who loves the premier league football?
A live sports broadcast technology provider is building out a dedicated team to support transmission of a major British football league, working directly on premier league matchday coverage. This is a critical hire with urgency, as the football season is quickly approaching! You will work within a 24/7 technical operations environment covering tier-1 global broadcasts, split across two shift patterns to ensure full matchday coverage.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all technical aspects of live sports transmissions, including check-in, configuration and monitoring
- Perform advanced monitoring and troubleshooting across IP networks (Arista, Net Insight), video encoders (MediaKind, Appear) and Linux/Windows infrastructure
- Support incident management, including investigation, resolution, detailed reporting and post-incident reviews
- Maintain and improve documentation, workflows and infrastructure relating to the client-specific technology stack
- Work matchday coverage rotas, shift-based, including weekends and some holidays

Skills Required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment
- Solid networking knowledge (VLANs, Subnetting)
- Broadcast engineering experience including MCR and TOC workflows (encoding/decoding)
