EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We are looking for a Network Gang Operative to join our Water Networks team covering the Edgbaston area.
We are seeking a skilled and proactive individual to support the repair, maintenance and installation of key water network assets. In this role, you will be responsible for working on mains meters, pressure reducing valves (PRVs), sluice valves and fire hydrants, including installations, replacements and upgrades. You will also carry out burst main repairs, including the installation of new bypasses and replacement of existing systems.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the network operates safely and efficiently. Alongside your technical responsibilities, you will engage directly with customers, keeping them informed and reassured throughout each stage of the work.

You'll be given a vehicle to do your job around the Edgbaston patch. This means having a Valid Full UK Drivers Licence is essential. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 42.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday with a standby rota of 1 week in every 7.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’ll be someone with a strong commitment to following company processes and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety is essential, as you help deliver reliable services and minimise disruption to the community.
You’ll be a strong team player who is dependable and consistent in their approach, with a positive attitude, good practical hands-on skills, and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Experience in the water industry is desirable, as is holding an NRSWA (New Roads & Street Works Act) qualification and an EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Register) is again, desirable but not essential.
