Network General Manager - Continuous Improvement & Transformation

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Network General Manager focussing on Continuous Improvement (CI) and Transformation supporting our customer Sainsbury’s on a national basis. The role will drive a structured programme of initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, improve service performance, reduce cost and build future capability across warehouse operations. You will use data, insights and cross-functional collaboration to identify, prioritise and implement impactful improvements, including leading major change programmes, embedding CI methodologies and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that support both operational excellence and long-term customer objectives.

Role Overview

This is a full-time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00. With regular travel to our Sainsbury’s operations across the UK, we do ask for some flexibility, if or when required.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

  • Accountability for CI and Transformation project delivery, including development of business cases, tracking benefits, and supporting delivery of cost efficiencies
  • Lead the delivery of the contract Transformation and Continuous Improvement strategy, aligned to operational and customer objectives
  • Drive end-to-end process reviews to eliminate waste and improve operational flow
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks for project delivery, reporting, and benefit tracking while partnering with finance to validate and track savings and operational improvements
  • Contribute to strategic planning and support future network capability development while undertaking strategic reviews and ad hoc projects when required

What You Need to Succeed at GXO

  • Significant experience in continuous improvement, transformation, or project delivery within logistics, supply chain, or FMCG environments
  • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Vast experience leading network-wide and/or multi-site change programmes
  • Strong track record of delivering measurable operational improvements and cost savings
