The company
My client is a well-established global technology business running internet content and security platforms used by organisations across the world, with offices in five countries. You'd be the senior technical authority on their network — the escalation point who designs, delivers and supports it, and mentors the junior engineers on a small, focused team. Your work would protect users at real scale.

The Tech
Cisco and Palo Alto are the primary vendors, across a hybrid on-premises, data centre and cloud (Azure) estate — BGP/OSPF, firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet), IPSec VPN, Linux, and automation with Ansible/Python/bash, with some Kubernetes/Docker in the mix.

What we're looking for
- Strong Cisco background and solid routing & switching fundamentals (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP)
- Hands-on firewall experience — Palo Alto, Fortinet and/or Linux
- Comfortable in Linux environments, with some automation (Ansible/Python/bash)
- A genuine all-rounder and strong communicator who can mentor and engage stakeholders
- Within about an hour of East London for the occasional DC visit
