Network Infrastructure Manager

Up to £90k + Bonus + Excellent Package

A leading organisation in the Bristol area requires an experienced Network Infrastructure Manager to lead a team responsible for the availability, resilience, and security of enterprise infrastructure and network platforms.

This is a management role with a strong focus on leadership, governance, and operational resilience. The successful candidate will ensure that critical infrastructure services meet regulatory, security, and business continuity requirements, while acting as a trusted partner to senior technology, risk, and business stakeholders.

Suitable Candidates

  • Leading, developing, and performance-managing an infrastructure and network engineering team, setting clear objectives and developing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Providing oversight of virtualisation platforms (VMWare vSphere, NSX), physical compute, and enterprise storage (NetApp SAN/NAS/HCI) through effective team leadership and vendor management.
  • Governing complex data centre and enterprise network architectures, including LAN/WAN, VLAN/VxLAN segmentation, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
  • Defining and assuring backup, disaster recovery, and operational resilience strategies and ensuring they are aligned to business and regulatory expectations.
  • Establishing and enforcing infrastructure security and configuration standards and aligning these with ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and internal risk frameworks.
  • Driving service improvement through standardisation, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives, improving stability, control, and operational efficiency.
  • Managing third-party suppliers and strategic partners, including contract negotiation, SLA governance, and service performance reviews.
  • Acting as a senior escalation point and advisor, clearly articulating infrastructure risk, control posture, and resilience to senior leadership.
  • Owning operational governance of enterprise-scale on-premises and co-location hosting environments supporting business-critical systems.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
