Network Lead (Contract) – Enterprise Environment
Our Global Banking client is hiring for an experienced Network Lead in London to drive lifecycle management, operations, and large-scale change delivery across a complex enterprise estate. This role suits a senior network engineer who thrives in high-availability, regulated environments and can clear a heavy change backlog without compromising stability.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning lifecycle management, operations, and deployment across DC and secure network environments
- Driving pace: executing and clearing a significant backlog of network changes
- Managing and supporting firewall and F5 infrastructure
- Leading network transformation programmes across global/regional estates
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to align delivery with business priorities
- Applying automation to improve operational efficiency
- Providing leadership across internal teams and third-party vendors
- Using data tools (Tableau, SQL, Splunk) to monitor performance and report to leadership

What you’ll bring
- 7+ years in network engineering/operations within financial services or similar regulated industries
- Strong hands-on experience across DC networks, firewalls, and F5
- Proven ability to deliver high-volume change at pace
- Experience leading global/regional network operations teams
- Strong stakeholder management and senior-level communication
- Familiarity with ITIL 4
- Interest in automation within network operations

Nice to have
- CCNA
- Corvil Certified Administrator (or equivalent)
- Microsoft Certified Professional – Server
- ITIL 4 Foundation or higher
