We are now looking for a Network Management Engineer to join our Engineering and Resilience team on a full-time basis for a fixed-term contract of 12 months.

The Role
As our Network Management Engineer, you will support the development and delivery of our whole-system voltage management strategy and programme.
Working with ENA member companies and NESO, you’ll strengthen communication and collaboration across Distribution Network Operators, Transmission Operators and NESO. A key focus will be developing the implementation plan for monitoring and mitigation associated with operating the LV network at voltages down to 207V.
You’ll also support the development and delivery of national industry guidance on statutory and whole-system voltage management. Engaging with government on its statutory consultation, you will help to progress strategic priorities through effective industry collaboration.
Additionally, you will:
- Co-ordinate and contribute to industry meetings
- Support the Network Development Steering Group
- Help to deliver Network Engineering and Operations Committee strategic priorities
About You
To be considered as our Network Management Engineer, you will need:
- A background in, or strong understanding of, the energy or utilities sector
- An understanding of voltage management criticalities and supporting standards
- Experience building positive and productive relationships with technical and diverse stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to deliver expected outcomes on time and to standard
- Strong people management skills to maximise stakeholder engagement and collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft papers, reports and industry responses
- A collaborative approach to developing relationships with colleagues and members
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint, alongside Microsoft Outlook
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, another relevant engineering discipline with transferable skills, or equivalent relevant experience
