The Vacancy
Binnies are looking for Network Modellers to work within our Water Services team on a variety of projects.
We are searching for a graduate modeller who is looking for their next challenge within the water industry. You will have a minimum of 2 years experience and be looking to progress to the next level in your career.
As a Network Modeller, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of different modelling activities which will both challenge and develop your skills. This could involve model building, verification, analysis, and reporting. You will get the opportunity to work on projects from across the UK and also on overseas projects. As a Network Modeller you will supervise junior members of the team.
Binnies treats each professional as an individual and will provide all relevant training, development, and support so that you may further your engineering career. We are a diverse and energetic team and you will play a key role in contributing to our team’s continuing growth and success.
About The Role
You will work as part of the Network Modelling Team to achieve the following:
- The model build and verification of network models;
- Prepare information for survey contractors;
- Prepare project reports for clients;
- Support the delivery of network modelling projects;
- Deliver project tasks to budget and programme;
- Liaise with clients and other external organisations as needed;
- Supervise junior members of the team.
Essential Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in modelling;
- Working towards Chartership;
- Prior knowledge and experience using InfoWorks ICM;
- Able to use MS Word and Excel;
- Analytical abilities;
- Self-motivated and effective team player;
- Able to communicate effectively with other team members and external organisations;
- Familiar with GIS software (MapInfo and ArcGIS);
- Pro-active approach to work.
- Full Driving Licence

Desirable Requirements
- Experience in other modelling software (fluvial or clean water).
- Participation in industry committees.
- Supportive attitude to other members of a team.
