Network Operations Engineer | Central London | 12-Month Contract
I’m currently recruiting for a Network Operations Engineer to join a large financial services environment, supporting critical enterprise network infrastructure and day-to-day operations.
Location
Central London | 2 days onsite per week
Contract Details
- 12-month contract | Strong potential to extend
- Inside IR35 | Flexible day rate depending on experience
- November start preferred | January also considered

Financial services experience advantageous
What you’ll be doing:
- Monitoring and supporting enterprise network infrastructure
- Troubleshooting LAN, WAN, routing, switching, wireless and SD-WAN
- Investigating network alerts and incidents
- Supporting major incidents and RCA activities
- Executing approved network changes and firmware upgrades
- Working with telecom providers and OEMs
- Maintaining network documentation, SOPs and runbooks
- Participating in rotational 24x7 shift coverage

Key experience:
- 5–8+ years’ Network Operations experience
- Strong Cisco Routing & Switching knowledge
- LAN/WAN troubleshooting
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VLANs
- Wireless networking
- Experience with network monitoring tools
Nice to have:
- Cisco ACI | Meraki | SolarWinds | ThousandEyes | SD-WAN | Cisco DNAC | Wireless Controllers
Certifications:
- CCNA / CCNP / Network+ / ITIL
