Work Location: Croft Depot, Arbor Road, Croft, Leicestershire LE9 3GE
Salary: £36,621 - £40,458 per annum
Working Hours: 37 hours / week, full time
Contract Type: Permanent

About The Role
We are looking to recruit to this exciting role within the Highways Control Room. You will be part of a team responsible for coordinating operational resources and planning and organising road repairs on a day-to-day basis across Leicestershire, including supporting operations during severe weather events when required. In addition to this, the successful candidate will monitor and measure performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), collect, analyse and report information related to highway delivery activities. The role will play an important role in promoting a strong performance culture across the service area.
You will demonstrate strong analytical skills and be able to interpret information from highway management databases, presenting findings and insights clearly to colleagues and stakeholders as required.
You will be working within a small and friendly team while liaising closely with colleagues across the wider department. Although this is not a customer-facing position, an understanding of good customer service principles is essential. You will be supported by experienced and knowledgeable team members, and full training will be provided. About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
- Degree or equivalent (e.g. NVQ Level 4 in a related subject). Evidence of continued learning and development or Demonstrable evidence of the skills and experience as outlined below, together with a commitment to attain the essential qualifications.
- Experience of working within highways, civil engineering, or street lighting setting. Experience of measuring performance against KPIs.
- Experience of collecting, analysing and reporting information related to customer enquiries and information flow to stakeholders.
- Experience of programming/scheduling works and the control of resources.
- Resolving enquiries in real time, feeding back to customers and other stakeholders, and building positive relationships.
- Knowledge of using ICT systems and business processes to support the efficient delivery of services.
- Understanding of highway legislation, policies and procedures. Demonstrable knowledge of working in local government.
