Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm

Location: Southampton

A Typical Day May Involve

  • To plan, execute inbound and outbound shipments predominantly across ENA but also globally using road, and multimodal solutions.
  • Operational and customer service responsibilities for the LLP services for BAT, this role will have direct customer and carrier liaison.
  • To have detailed knowledge of customer's business in order to work closely with and enhance the customer's distribution network to its clients.
  • To drive and increase customer service levels by driving the identification and implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives within the defined scope of the responsibilities on a YOY basis.
  • To respond to management reports that identify cost and service drivers and convey clearly the performance of each service supplier and the associated cost in line with contractual KPIs.
  • Implement and operate agreed project priorities with the customer.
  • Ensure operation enables cost optimisation of the scope of responsibilities through the use of process optimisation, benchmarking and tendering 3PL operations.
  • Manage positive customer relationships. To effectively manage customer and carrier relationships throughout all operational area.
  • Establishment of effective working relationships with DHL-division colleagues and with customer & supplier representatives.
  • To engage with and across business entities / geographies effectively i.e. distribution centres.
  • Influence and embrace change in operational and/or customer environment.
  • Operational leadership and interaction within a dynamic matrix organisation working under minimal supervision.
  • Take accountability and ownership for the operation and development of the supply chain function for operational purposes and one's own personal development.
  • Planning & co-ordinating all supply chain activities as required within a team environment to ensure delivery of planned results.
  • To understand the quality management aspects of the operation to ensure consistency of the highest levels of service delivery and cost control.
  • Appraise yourself of and understand the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet and exceed contractual terms and DHL expectations.
  • To effectively engage with workstream /3PL/customer leaders to deliver against assigned tasks, providing practical assistance and guidance as required.
