About Our Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Bulk Network Transport Manager to lead and develop our Bulk Network transport operation.

Key Responsibilities

In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering an efficient, compliant, and high-performing transport service
  • Meeting agreed service, performance, and cost targets
  • Collaborating with commercial, finance, and operational teams

Specific Duties

  • Lead the development and performance of the Bulk/Artic Network transport operation
  • Manage haulier compliance, service levels, contracts, and rates
  • Ensure accurate haulier invoices are accurate and paid on time
  • Partner with commercial teams to align resources with forecasts
  • Analyse service performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Manage budgets to maximise service and operational efficiency
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a transport team to meet targets
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture across the network
  • Provide performance summaries to finance and stakeholders, and analyse spending
  • Build strong communication structures with key stakeholders across the business
  • Develop a robust and agile haulier network to meet evolving business needs

About You

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in transport or haulier network management
  • Previous experience managing:
    • Transport teams
    • Vehicles
    • Multi-site operations
  • National or International CPC qualification
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience in:
    • Managing costs
    • Budget oversight
  • Outgoing communicator, capable of influencing tiered stakeholders
  • Leadership style: methodical, proactive, solutions-focused
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, positive approach
  • In-depth geographical knowledge of the operating area
  • Flexible attitude with readiness to:
    • Travel as needed
    • Work extended hours when required
