Job Title: Project Manager - Network Security Improvements
Location: Leeds, you will need to be onsite 4 days in a week.
Duration: 6 months
Description
Job Purpose
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a number of Network Security Improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining the business case and Project scope.
- Lead end-to-end project management delivery of a network security improvement project covering Internet Security policy review, Wi-Fi/SSID enhancements, and Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA) alignment, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, budget, and timelines.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risk logs, and status reports.
- Coordinate activities across technical teams, SMEs, and business units.
- Develop and maintain Project finances, including budget updates, invoice tracking, and forecasting.
- Work with Business Analysts to validate and manage requirements, dependencies, and change impacts.
- Support Service Enablement and User Adoption functions to manage the service transition planning and business readiness.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies throughout the migration process.
- Report on progress to Senior stakeholders and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Ensure governance, documentation, and project controls are in place and followed.

Key Deliverables
- Project scoping.
- Detailed migration/delivery project plans and tracking of milestones.

Personal Requirements
Experience
- Experienced in delivering and enhancing network security Internet Security policies, Wi-Fi/SSID enhancements, and an understanding of Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA) principles and experience aligning network/security controls with a ZTNA strategy, including identity-based access, least privilege, and segmentation.
- Experience working with outsourcing partners and third-party vendors.
- Strong track record in end-to-end project delivery within medium to large organizations.
- Experience in developing and maintaining Project finances and forecasting.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including SMEs, business analysts, and technical teams.

- Strong project planning and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Risk, issue, and dependency management.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Comfortable working in structured project environments (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Tools & Methodologies
- Proficiency in Project Management methodologies such as PRINCE, Agile.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Shibumi.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
- Competence in producing project documentation and reports in MS Office.
Desirable
- Basic understanding of firewalls, security policies, VPNs, zero-trust architecture, access controls, and encryption.
- Basic understanding of vulnerability remediation processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with standards like ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS controls to guide project alignment.
- Exposure to ITIL environments and service management principles.
- Experience in managing both technical and business change.
