About the role

We’re looking for a Network Quality Assurance Technician to help ensure work carried out across Bristol Water’s network meets the high standards expected by our customers, communities and stakeholders.

You’ll work closely with our delivery partners, inspecting and monitoring activity across repair and maintenance, new mains and services, renovations, metering and reinstatement. You’ll play an important role in maintaining safety, quality and compliance, while helping protect the integrity of our water network.

What you’ll be doing

  • Inspecting, monitoring and reporting on work completed by our delivery partners.
  • Ensuring work meets required quality, health and safety, environmental, street works and traffic management standards.
  • Identifying workmanship or compliance issues and supporting their resolution.
  • Ensuring works comply with NRSWA requirements and permitting requirements.
  • Supporting the reporting of SHEQ incidents, accidents, near misses and service strikes.
  • Carrying out risk assessments and ensuring appropriate control measures are in place.
  • Supporting customer enquiries and complaints to achieve prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Undertaking mains isolations for planned programmes and unplanned events.
  • Working with local authorities and other stakeholders to build effective relationships.
  • Supporting the assessment of delivery partner costs, service levels and quality.
  • Participating in the 24/7 operational standby rota as part of a multi-skilled team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
