Network Security Architect - FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ACI, Banking
Up to £850 per day (Inside IR35 - Umbrella)
London / Hybrid (2-3 days per week onsite)
12 months initial contract
My client is an International Financial Services firm who urgently require a Network Security Architect / Network Security Engineering Lead with hands-on experience with FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ACI, Zero Trust / SASE and previous Financial Services industry experience to join a key Programme in the design, operation, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise network security capabilities across data centre, campus, WAN, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Network Security Architect in the Financial Services / Banking industry
- Demonstrable End-to-End experience of Network Security Projects / Programmes
- Ability to define, maintain, and lead the Network Security Architecture across data centre, WAN and cloud
- Strong understanding of Network Security principles, including Security boundaries, Network routing protocols, Secure Network Architecture, modern Security frameworks Network segmentation, micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust Architectures
- Extensive hands-on experience of designing, implementing, and managing Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls, along with F5 BIG-IP load balancing solutions
- Proven expertise in deploying and maintaining proxy services and secure web gateway technologies
- Commercial experience with Cisco ACI, including Security frameworks, policy enforcement, and Network automation models
- Working knowledge of SASE / Zero-Trust Network transformations with identity-driven segmentation models
- Prior experience in vulnerability management, remediation programmes, and coordinating Security incidents and risk mitigation efforts across multiple teams
- Flexible approach towards hybrid working
