Opticore IT is a specialist Network Engineer and Project Management consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within fast-paced, challenging environments across our client base spanning multiple sectors including Finance, Broadcast Media, Telecommunications and more.
Opticore IT are currently searching for a Network Security Engineer on an initial 6 month contract (Inside IR35) working with an Enterprise FS client. This opportunity will suit somebody who has a strong history of deploying Palo Alto solutions across enterprise networks.
The initial project will be a Palo Alto Prisma rollout with the lead/design engineer remotely supporting deployments. This opportunity involves travel to sites across the UK & Ireland.

What you'll be doing:
- Deploying & supporting Palo Alto Prisma rollout
- Travelling across UK and Ireland for onsite deployments when required
- Creating documentation for the remaining migration tasks
- Change planning including discovery, pre-work, implementation, testing, validation and regression activities within Change Management guideline
- Working out of hours and some weekends will be required for deployments
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience with Palo Alto technical stack
- SD WAN deployment experience - ideally using Palo Alto Prisma.
- Strong background in working on technical deployment / roll out type projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with peers.
- Happy with UK wide travel when required.
