About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our Network Security team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing, scaling, and enhancing our network security infrastructure through hands-on operations, strategic design, and implementation. The ideal candidate will possess strong networking fundamentals and extensive experience with security appliances such as firewalls and proxies. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing secure network architectures, managing network segmentation, and collaborating closely with cybersecurity teams to detect and mitigate threats. You will work with application owners and traders to facilitate secure business workflows, ensuring our network infrastructure remains resilient, efficient, and aligned with best practices.
This role requires a holistic approach to system design, emphasizing flexibility, compatibility, and efficiency. You will have the opportunity to evaluate new platforms, automate monitoring processes, and improve documentation to support our evolving security landscape. Strong communication skills and analytical thinking are essential as you collaborate with global colleagues to troubleshoot issues, plan deployments, and implement improvements. Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience operating and deploying network infrastructure
- Proficiency with routing and network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and PIM-SM
- Experience troubleshooting transport protocols including TCP and UDP
- Strong understanding of firewall hardware architecture, performance metrics, and functional components
- Hands-on experience with firewall configuration and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and related security technologies
- Understanding of modern encryption techniques and secure communication protocols
- Experience with overlay networks such as EVPN and VxLAN (preferred)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
- High capacity for learning and adapting to new technologies
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to switch contexts efficiently
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Network Engineering team on the design and deployment of security perimeter and adjacent network infrastructure
- Manage and evolve network segmentation, DMZ, and other security measures to enhance overall network security
- Evaluate, test, and implement new security platforms and solutions within lab environments
- Partner with Cybersecurity teams to detect, analyze, and mitigate network threats and vulnerabilities
- Work with application owners and traders to enable secure and efficient business workflows
- Proactively improve network observability through scripting, automation, and enhanced monitoring tools
- Communicate technical requirements and improvements effectively to software engineers and stakeholders
- Maintain and update comprehensive documentation of network security processes and configurations
- Perform troubleshooting and incident response to resolve network issues promptly
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize network security infrastructure and policies
