A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Network Security Engineer to join a department to assist with protecting critical systems and ensuring the security of network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Playing a key role in safeguarding the organisation's network infrastructure
- Working with the SOC team on incident response and triage activity
- Designing and implementing robust security solutions to protect against threats
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing changes securely
- Identifying vulnerabilities and managing security incidents
- Ensuring compliance with industry best practices
The ideal candidate would have:
- Understanding of cyber security capabilities
- Existing knowledge of Darktrace Antigena and Respond
- Strong ability to interpret complex information via use of packet capture
- Proven ability to review SOC alerting

The ideal candidate must have:
- Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, and VLANs)
- Strong expertise in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, e.g., Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto
- Hands-on experience in next-gen firewalls and advancing security features
- Experience in managing secure proxy solutions
- Understanding of network architectures and security zones
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols
- Proficient in monitoring technologies
