Network Security Engineer

Salary: £45,000 (dependent on experience)
On-Call Allowance
Location: Stevenage
Type: Full Time, Permanent

About the Opportunity

An established and highly regarded network and cybersecurity services provider is seeking a Network & Security Engineer to join its growing Professional Services team.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of enterprise networking and security projects across the UK and Europe while collaborating with experienced industry professionals. Projects include enterprise firewall deployments, Secure SD-WAN solutions, switching, wireless networking, cloud networking, and cybersecurity technologies.

The Role

This is a hands-on, third-line engineering position within a Professional Services environment. You will lead the technical delivery of complex customer projects from discovery and planning through to design, implementation, migration, testing, and handover.

The role has a strong focus on Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Secure SD-WAN, and associated networking and security solutions.

In addition to project delivery, you will act as a senior technical authority, providing guidance to colleagues, reviewing project designs, supporting engineering best practice, and ensuring technical quality across customer engagements. This is a technical leadership role rather than a people management position.

The role offers a hybrid working model, combining office-based work, remote working, and occasional travel to customer sites across the UK.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
