The Opportunity

A globally recognised name in banking is looking for a Network Security Engineer to join its security engineering function, reporting directly into the Head of Engineering & BISO. This is a chance to work at the centre of a major financial institution's network security strategy, with genuine influence over how the roadmap takes shape, rather than just executing tickets.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Owning the configuration and ongoing tuning of Akamai Kona Site Defender, keeping web applications and APIs protected against DDoS, application-layer attacks, and bot-driven threats
  • Managing and developing the AlgoSec estate, covering firewall policy governance, change automation, rule-base clean-up, and audit/compliance reporting across a multi-vendor firewall landscape
  • Building out and maintaining Illumio microsegmentation to embed Zero Trust principles and limit lateral movement across both on-prem and cloud environments
  • Working closely with the Head of Engineering to shape the network security roadmap, keeping it aligned with the broader infrastructure and security architecture direction

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
