Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Network Security Officer (NSO) to support a government contract based on the island of Diego Garcia.

PURPOSE / SCOPE

The NSO is responsible for overseeing the network infrastructure within the Program to include cyber security, safety, and protection of the systems and data. Will monitor to proactively protect against any emerging threats while maintaining current knowledge and training to consistently provide Program security to data and systems. NSO will perform other duties as assigned by Program leadership.

The NSO will be available for on-call support as needed 24 hours/day, 7 days/week in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in computer science / engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
  • Will perform duties per SECNAV M-5239.2
  • Must have three years’ experience in a similar role preferably in the military or a government installation
  • Must have Security + / CISM / CISSP
  • Must be familiar with current global, US, Program, and PWS requirements
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US passport and driver's license throughout employment in this role
  • Ability to successfully pass PACOM medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Able to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies
  • Able to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds
  • Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
  • May work in a typical office environment
