About The Role
Network Services Senior Technician
Full time, Permanent
Salary: Between £38,080 to £44,800 per annum depending on experience
Location: Suffolk
Are you an experienced water industry professional with strong technical knowledge and a passion for leading operational teams? We're looking for a Network Services Senior Technician to play a key role in supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our water distribution network across Suffolk.
In this hands-on leadership role, you'll provide technical guidance and day-to-day support to operational teams and contractor partners, helping to ensure that network activities are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service. You'll work closely with colleagues across Network Services and other business areas, using your expertise to support operational decision-making, resolve network issues, and continuously improve performance across the region.
- No two days will be the same. You'll be involved in supporting the repair and maintenance of the water distribution network, investigating complex bursts and supply interruptions, undertaking site audits and quality inspections, and helping to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- You'll also coach and mentor colleagues, helping to build technical capability and promote best practice throughout the workforce.
- You'll be a visible leader in the field, providing direction when operational challenges arise, supporting safe systems of work, and working collaboratively with contractors, internal stakeholders, and customers to deliver positive outcomes.
- As part of the role, you'll also participate in a standby rota, providing technical and operational support during out-of-hours incidents and helping to minimise the impact of network events on customers and communities.

About You
We're looking for someone with significant experience within the water industry or a similar operational environment, coupled with strong technical knowledge of water network operations. You'll be confident leading and influencing teams, supporting colleagues to perform at their best, and making sound operational decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- You'll have experience providing technical leadership, working alongside contractors and operational teams, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
