Senior Network Solution Design Engineer
Contract
Sheffield/Hybrid
We're looking for a Senior Network Solution Design Engineer to design and deliver scalable, secure, and resilient hybrid-cloud network solutions across enterprise data centres, private cloud, and public cloud environments. This is a hands-on role involving solution design, prototyping, validation, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design enterprise network solutions for hybrid-cloud environments.
- Develop reference architectures and network design standards.
- Build and validate solutions through PoCs and lab environments.
- Collaborate with cloud, platform, security, and application teams.
- Drive network automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

- Strong enterprise networking experience (routing, switching, BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, segmentation).
- Hybrid cloud networking across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Kubernetes networking (Cilium, Calico, OVN-K).
- Cloud connectivity (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, Equinix Fabric, Megaport).
- Cisco ACI, Arista, or Juniper networking.
- Automation with Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Python, or Go.
- Experience with Linux and network observability tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, ThousandEyes, or Kentik.
