Network Support Engineer (Enterprise Wi-Fi & LAN/WAN)
Location: Central London (Office-based with client site visits)
Salary: £45,000 + Benefits + On-Call (Clear Career progression opportunities)
About the Role
We're looking for a customer-focused Network Support Engineer to join a specialist MSP delivering networking, Wi-Fi and infrastructure solutions to the hospitality sector across the UK. This role is ideal for someone with a strong networking background who enjoys working directly with customers, solving complex connectivity issues, and acting as a trusted technical contact. You'll support a diverse client base, including hotels and hospitality venues where service quality, communication and professionalism are every bit as important as technical ability. You'll work alongside experienced network and Wi-Fi specialists, supporting, installing and troubleshooting enterprise networking environments both remotely and onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and support network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, routers, wireless access points and wireless controllers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex LAN, WAN and enterprise Wi-Fi issues.
- Provide exceptional remote and onsite support to hospitality clients.
- Manage incidents and service requests through the service desk.
- Support infrastructure upgrades, deployments and project work.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify issues.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation.
- Participate in an on-call rota (1 week in every 4 weeks).

Essential Technical Experience
We are prioritising candidates with strong networking expertise and hands-on enterprise wireless experience. You should have proven experience with:
- Enterprise Wi-Fi support, deployment and troubleshooting.
- LAN and WAN networking.
- Routing and switching technologies.
- VLANs.
- Spanning Tree Protocol (STP).
- TCP/IP networking.
- IP addressing and subnetting.
- DNS, DHCP and VPN technologies.
- Firewall administration and troubleshooting.
- Network monitoring and diagnostics. You should be comfortable discussing networking concepts in detail and able to confidently troubleshoot issues at Layers 2 and 3.
Microsoft Technologies
Experience supporting Microsoft environments is also required, including:
- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Intune
- Azure
- Windows Server
Qualifications
- Active CCNA certification is essential (or equivalent current networking qualification).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Network Engineer, Network Support Engineer or Infrastructure Support position.
- Experience working within an MSP environment would be highly desirable.
- Experience with technologies such as Ruckus, Meraki, Fortinet, HPE, WatchGuard or similar vendors is advantageous.
