Network Team Lead - Hybrid - £150,000 base - London
I'm supporting a leading quantitative technology firm that's looking to appoint a Network Team Lead to take ownership of the performance, reliability and operational maturity of its network environment.
This is a hands-on technical leadership position for someone who can combine deep network engineering expertise with a strong focus on automation, observability and operational excellence.
The role
You'll lead the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of network infrastructure across datacentre, WAN and campus environments.
Alongside providing technical leadership to the network function, you'll drive a more automated and proactive approach to network operations — reducing manual intervention, improving observability and ensuring the environment remains highly available, resilient and secure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
